Share access
If you need to present an update to your client, or maybe just show a friend your site temporarily, just pass him the customizable Bypass URL. A cookie will allow him to navigate through your site for 24 hours.
Identify your pages
Having different maintenance pages for different users may make you lose track of them, but pages are well identified in your page list screen in WordPress dashboard.
Don't forget you're not live
A maintenance mode activated notice will be always in the admin bar for administrators, so you don't have to guess why there are no visitors coming.
